The Fireplace Factory has a number of stoves for sale but what are the different types of wood burning stoves and which one would suit your home? We offer our top tips for choosing a stove.
There are many reasons why wood burning stoves are chosen and right now they offer an alternative way of heating our homes and reduce bills. Choosing a stove can be quite a hard thing to do but it doesn’t need to be when you just consider the following:
Type of Stove
The type of stove which you can choose will be down to choices and the area you live in. Are you living in a DEFRA smoke control zone? If that is the case then you should opt for the DEFRA approved stoves. We have a range of stoves that will be suitable for a DEFRA smoke control area. Choosing the correct type of stove doesn't have to be daunting our helpful advisors will assist you in this. Ask them all the questions you have!
The size of stove which you should choose will be dependent on the size of the room where the stove is going to be included in. Free in-house surveys from The Fireplace Factory will determine what options are available to a customer. Unfortunately inappropriate sizes of stove can damage the chimney lining, be dangerous and also can damage furnishings in the home. It is important to get the size right when choosing your stove.
Kilowatt output of Stove
You need to take note of the kilowatt output of the stove is because this is the heat output the stove will give into a room. If you need to reduce your primary heating expenses then you need to choose a stove which will have a lesser output and but still remain efficient for your needs and requirements. Once again our free in-house surveys will be able to specify the right output dependent on the room size.
Stove Design
Stove design is perhaps one of the most important factors; they come in a whole range of designs from antique designs to the more modern and elegant designs. You need to choose your stove design based on the existing interior design and it is best if it is in-keeping with this.
